PTU BTech 2022 Counselling Begins

The counselling process for the I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) has been started. The Punjab BTech application process link is available on the official website- ptu.admissions.nic.in , students can take admission into BTech course on the basis of plus two marks.

The BTech counselling process includes online registration, fee payment, rank card, seat allotment, choice filling. The candidates can participate in the centralised counselling by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 2,000

PTU BTech Counselling: Steps To Apply

• Visit the official website- ptu.admissions.nic.in

• Click on application form link

• Enter the details of application number, password and security pin

• Pay the registration fee

• Once payment is successful, download and take a print out for further reference.

The minimum eligibility criteria is to obtain 45 per cent marks in plus two, and 40 per cent marks for the reserved category candidates. The candidates who have pass certificate from the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) will also be eligible for the counselling process.

The Punjab BTech admission counselling process consists of the following rounds:

• Centralized online counselling registration

• Online counselling fee payment

• Preparation of rank

• Choice filling

• Allotment of seat

• Online reporting at allotted institute

• Provisional confirmation by allotted institute

Punjab BTech 2022 admission: Eligibility criteria

Applicants should have passed 10+2 examination from a Board recognized or established by Central/State Government through a legislation and a member of Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject / Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship.

Should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR

Students who have passed minimum 3 years Diploma examination from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), or any such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. OR

The candidates who have passed two years certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.
