JoSAA Registration 2023 and Choice Filling Started

Joint Seat Allocation Authority has commenced the JoSAA registration and choice filling process on June 19. The link for JoSAA registration and choice filling has been updated on the website. Canddiates need to complete the registration and choice filling for JoSAA 2023 by June 28. JEE Advanced qualified candidates have to use their Main registration number and Advanced password. After the JoSAA registration 2023, candidates will have to fill in the choices of institutes and courses in which admission is desired as per their preference. Moreover, AAT candidates can start the choice filling process on June 24 after the declaration of the result. Candidates who are willing to appear for counselling through JoSAA 2023 will be allowed to complete their registration and choice filling.

Applicants are advised to keep all the documents required for JoSAA 2023 counselling ready before the start of the registration process. JEE Main or JEE Advanced qualified candidates are eligible to register online for JoSAA. JEE Main qualified candidates are required to use their JEE Main registration number and password during the registration process. Only those students who will complete the JoSAA 2023 registration and choice filling within the specified dates will be considered for seat allotment. Seats will be allotted through a centralized JoSAA 2023 counselling on the basis of ranks in JEE Main/ JEE Advanced.

JoSAA registration and choice filling 2023- Highlights

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is responsible for seat allotment in all IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. The authorities allot seats on the basis of ranks secured by candidates in JEE Main or JEE Advanced. Students who qualify JEE Main 2023 will be eligible for admission in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs while students who qualify JEE Advanced become eligible for admission in IITs. Candidates should ensure that they meet the specified eligibility criteria as ineligible applicants will not be offered admission.

JoSAA Registration and Choice Filling 2023 Procedure

In the registration process, JEE Main candidates have to log in using their Main registration number and password while the JEE Advanced 2023 qualified aspirants have to log in using their Main registration number and Advanced password. The procedure for JoSAA 2023 registration and choice filling is given below (for reference as registration is over now)

JoSAA Registration – Log in to the JoSAA 2023 candidate portal using the JEE Main application number and Main/Advanced password. Upon successful login, the candidate’s details will automatically be fetched from the database of JEE Main registration. Check all the details and proceed further. Candidates will also be required to change their passwords.

Choice filling – After registration, candidates have to fill in choices of institutes and courses in which admission is desired. Students must note that the seat allotment will be done on the basis of choice filled. Also, candidates are advised to fill in as many choices available to them as per their ranks so as to increase their chances of getting a seat in any institute.

Choice locking – Finally, candidates have to lock their filled choices before the last date. Choices filled but not locked before the last date will be automatically locked after the completion of time for choice locking.

JoSAA seat allotment 2023

The exam authority will release the JoSAA round-wise seat allotment result on its official website. The JoSAA 2023 seat allotment result will be released on the official website. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) allots seats to the candidates through a centralized online JoSAA counselling. There will be a total of six rounds of JoSAA counselling. The allotment of seats is done on the basis of ranks in JEE Main/Advanced on the basis of choices filled by candidates by considering the reservation and JoSAA seat allotment policies. Candidates will be able to check the status of seat allotment through the JoSAA candidate’s login portal.

JoSAA 2023 registration and choice filling – Important Points

• Candidates should ensure that all the details entered during the JoSAA registration 2023 and choice filling process are correct. Incorrect details can lead to the cancellation/rejection of admission.

• Candidates will be able to do the JoSAA choice filling and locking process for a specified period only.

• Students have to log in to their candidate’s portal for checking the allotment status as per the schedule for the announcement of the JoSAA 2023 seat allotment.
