DU Third Cut-off List Released Today

The University of Delhi (DU) released the third cut-off list for undergraduate (UG) admissions today. The consolidated list will be available at the university’s website- www.du.ac.in  Several DU colleges also release cut-off lists on their official website

Admission against the third cut-off list will be conducted from October 18 to October 21. The 2nd cut-off list witnessed a marginal decline between 0.25 and 1.25 percentage points in various courses and in the third list, cut-offs may drop even further.

In the two cut-off lists released on September 30 and October 9 respectively, over 48,000 students have secured their admission filling more than 60 per cent of the total seats. There was a marginal change in the two cut-offs with admissions closed in many popular courses right after the first cut-off.

Over 2.87 lakh students have applied for Delhi University’s undergraduate courses this year. A total of 5 cut-off lists would be released by the varsity on the official website www.du.ac.in  Special cut-off lists would also be released on October 25, after the first three cut-off lists.

Besides, the fourth and fifth cut-offs will be released only if there are vacant seats. The entire admission process is likely to complete by November 16, 2021.

If students took admission to a college in the first or second cut-off list and qualify for a more preferred college in the third list, they will have to withdraw their admission from the first college and apply to the second.

Steps To Change Course, College

1- Withdraw the previous admission: To change the course or college, students will have to withdraw the admission taken in any of the affiliated colleges under the first cutoff list.

2- Cancellation Of Fee Payment: Once the DU admission 2021 is withdrawn, candidates will be required to pay the requisite admission cancellation/withdrawal fee.

3- Download the confirmation page: Students will have to download the confirmation page for future reference.

4- Select New College and Course: Select the college and course by logging into the official website. Candidates have to meet the cut-off requirements as per the merit.

5- Document Verification and payment of fees: For DU admissions, document verification process would be held at the respective colleges. Soon after, candidates can lock the seat by paying the fees

How Are DU Cut-Off 2021 Marks Calculated

Best Of 4 Subjects: As per the best of four subjects DU cut-off criteria, the university uses scores obtained in one language subject and three academic subjects filled up by the candidates during the registration process. The subjects also include the one in which the candidate wishes to seek admission in.

Best of 3 Subjects: For Science and Applied Sciences programmes, admissions are done on the basis of top three academic subjects, except for BA (Pass) Home Science. The DU cut off list for BA (Pass Home Science) is prepared taking into account the best of three academic subjects and English as a compulsory language subject.
