CSAB 2023 Special Round Registration Begins

NIT Rourkela has commenced the CSAB special round registration 2023 on August 3. Candidates can fill the registration form of CSAB special round 2023 on the official website till August 7. Candidates willing to participate can check the counselling dates of CSAB 2023 special round at www.csab.nic.in  The authorities announced the CSAB NEUT 2023 seat allotment result round 2 on July 31. Candidates allotted seats in round 1 had to submit the undertaking, willingness option, and fee payment for seat acceptance by July 24. The CSAB NEUT 2023 registration form was available from June 26 to July 3, 2023. Central Seat Allocation Board conducts CSAB 2023 to provide admissions into the participating institutes (IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs) on the basis of JEE Main scores. The authorities allot seats to the registered candidates as per their JEE Main merit, preferences, and availability of seats. The CSAB 2023 seat allotment is being conducted separately for three channels of admissions.

CSAB 2023 will be conducted separately for the three channels – CSAB NEUT( North-Eastern states and Union Territories), CSAB UT (supernumerary seats in the Union Territories), and CSAB SFTI (Self-financed technical institutes). The registration process for the different channels of CSAB 2023 conducted separately in online mode. In order to participate in the allotment process, candidates will have to complete the registration procedure

The exam authorities conduct CSAB 2023 after completion of the admission process through JoSAA. Candidates who have not been allotted before will be able to register for CSAB 2023 through the different modes of admission channel as given below:

  • CSAB NEUT (for the North Eastern States and Union Territories)
  • CSAB UT (Supernumerary Seats for Union Territory)
  • CSAB SFTI (Self-Financed Technical Institutes)

Candidates who meet the necessary eligibility will have to apply for CSAB NEUT 2023 (for North-Eastern States and Union Territories). The admission process is being conducted to provide B.Tech seats for candidates belonging to 12 North-East states and UTs (Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim, Tripura, Nagaland, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Lakshadweep, and Daman & Diu).

Admissions will be done based on the JEE Main 2023 scores obtained by the candidates. All of the necessary application processes has to be completed within the timeline given by the exam authorities.

CSAB Special Round 2023 – NITs, IIITs and GFTIs

The registration, fee payment and choice filling for admission through the CSAB 2023 for special round NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is open in online mode. Candidates who have obtained a valid JEE Main 2023 score can apply for this special round. The eligibility criteria have to be satisfied by the candidates to get admission through the special round.

CSAB Special Round 2023 Seat Allotment

  • In order to participate in the CSAB 2023 special round seat allotment, the candidates will have to follow the steps as under.
  • Registration:
  • The candidates will have to visit the official website and click on the registration link. (link will be updated)
  • Using JEE Main 2023 application number and password, the candidates will have to register for CSAB 2023 special round.
  • The documents have to be uploaded as specified by the exam authorities.
  • Fee Payment: Candidates will have to pay the necessary fee through online mode only (SBI MOPS payment gateway).
  • Filling and Locking of Choices: They will have to choose their choice of institutes/colleges and courses in order of preference. After the choices are confirmed, they will have to lock and submit them.
  • Seat Allotment Declaration:
  • The registered candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their JEE Main merit, preferences, and availability of seats.
  • The seat allotment result of the CSAB 2023 special round has been released in online mode.
  • The selected candidates will have the option to either freeze, float, or cancel their allotted seat.
  • Seat Allotment Confirmation: Candidates need to confirm their allotted seats by paying the required admission fees.
  • Online Reporting: Using JEE Main 2023 credentials, the allotted candidates will also have to complete online reporting and confirm their allotted seats. They need to upload the required documents.
  • Physical Reporting: Finally, they will have to report to their allotted institute directly. It should be noted that the reporting should be done within the time specified by the authorities.
