Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design

SEED 2021:  Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design 2021 or SEED 2021 or SET-Design 2021 will be conducted by the Symbiosis International University for admissions into the B. Des. Or Bachelor of Design courses offered at Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID), Pune and Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture and Design (SSPAD), Nagpur.

Please Note: The Entrance Examination SEED or Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design was canceled in the year 2020 due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.

The Admission Criteria was revised for the year 2020 as mentioned below:

Final selection is based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction as well as on the basis of the information provided by the candidate in the application form and his/ her first preference of the disciplines offered.

Under normal circumstances the admissions via SEED is based on the following criteria after scaling down the SEED Score to 40 Marks.

The Examination of SEED 2021 is uncertain this year also and maybe there can be a change in the SEED Exam Pattern as well as the Examination criteria.

SEED 2021 Key Points:

SEED Application Form 2021: The SEED Application Form 2021 will be available online tentatively from the 1^st week of January, 2021 on the SET official website: www.set-test.org.

The SEED Application Form 2021 can be filled by following these steps:

• Visit the official admission portal of SIU: www.set-test.org 
• Click on the registration link
• Enter your name, mobile number, email Id, Category, and preferred test city
• Upload your recent passport size colour photograph in .jpg, .jpeg or .png format. The maximum size of the photo should not exceed more than 100kb.
• Click on the “Save and Continue” option to complete the SEED registration

Upon submitting the registration form of SEED 2021, candidates will receive an I.D. and a password which they will need every time to access their account.

Steps to Fill the SEED Application Form 2021:

• Login at the SET candidate portal.
• The application form of SEED 2021 will be displayed on the screen.
• Enter your personal information such as name, parent’s name, date of birth, category and communication details.
• Enter your educational qualification details (Class 10th and Class 12th marks, percentage, passing year and board name).
• Select your course choice as B. Des.
• Check all the information to ensure that all entries are correct and complete and submit your application form for fee payment.

SEED Application Form 2021 - Fee payment

Select the mode of payment. The SEED application fee can be paid in online or offline mode. Candidates who select the online mode will be redirected to the payment gateway. The online fee payment can be done by using a credit card or debit card or by net banking option.

Candidates who select the offline mode of payment will be required to generate the e-challan. The application fee of SEED should be paid by using the demand draft in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.

Before filling the SEED Application Form 2021 the candidates must read the information brochure for details like Institute Profile, Seat Availability, Admission Process, Eligibility etc.

SEED Eligibility Criteria 2021: The SEED Eligibility Criteria 2021 is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfill a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands cancelled or void.

Qualification:

• Candidate must have passed class 12^th or its equivalent from any recognized board.
• Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in their 12^th class.
• For SC/ST, marks relaxation is 5%.

Stream:

• Student of Science, Commerce and Arts are eligible to apply for SEED 2021.

SEED 2021 Admission Process:

SEED Participating Colleges 2021: The SEED Participating Colleges 2021 or SEED Participating Institutes 2021 include only two colleges of Design.

The SEED Participating Colleges 2021 or SEED Participating Institute 2021 are as follows:

Students must go through the Participating Colleges and their seat distribution before filling up their choices for admissions in the counselling procedure. The candidate has a clear idea about the chances of getting admissions through this entrance examination after reading about the participating colleges in detail.

The Participating Colleges in any Entrance Exam also reflect the importance of that examination in a great manner as more important the participating colleges in an examination the more important that entrance examination becomes.

So, students must go through the Participating Colleges while applying for any entrance examination and do a thorough research about the quality of those participating colleges in the entrance examination.

SEED Admit Card 2021:  The SEED Admit Card 2021 or SEED Hall Ticket 2021 will be available for download tentatively in the 1^st week of May, 2021 on the official website of SEED: www.set-test.org .

To Download the SEED Admit Card 2021 by following below mentioned steps:

• Visit the above-mentioned official website.
• Click on the Download SEED Admit Card link.
• Enter the Application Number and Password.
• Admit Card will be displayed on the screen and check all the details.
• Download and Print the SEED Admit Card 2021.

Candidate must carry the Admit Card along with anyone of the Photo Identity Proof are as follow:

• Passport

• Driving license
• Voter ID Card
• Pan Card
• Aadhar Card (UID)

The Admit Card is an important document and must be carefully kept by the candidates as it is necessary to produce at the Exam centre while appearing for the Entrance Examination and without the same the Candidate is not allowed to enter the exam hall to appear for the entrance examination.

The Admit Card usually contains the details of the Exam Centre, Personal Details of the Candidate like Name and Date of Birth and other important information including the Instructions.

SEED Result 2021: The SEED Result 2021 will be published online on the SEED website: www.set-test.org .

To check SEED Result 2021 by following the below-mentioned steps:

• Go to the above-mentioned official website.
• Enter the login and password.
• The result will be displayed on the screen.
• Download and Print the SEED Result 2021 for further references.

After the declaration of SEED Result 2021, a candidate who qualifies for the exam would be eligible to appear for SID’s Studio Test and Personal Interaction.

• Slot booking for Studio Test and Personal Interaction will be started after 2 or 3 week of conduction of the exam.

SEED Counselling Procedure 2021:  The SEED Counselling Procedure 2021 or the SEED Admission Procedure 2021 will start after the declaration of the SEED Result 2021 and preparation of the merit list based upon the SEED Entrance Test Score, PI and Studio Test.

The Merit List will be prepared based on the following calculations:

Under normal circumstances, SID’s admission process comprises of Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) followed by Studio Test and Personal Interaction after which the merit list is generated. Considering the Corona Virus situation, it was decided to cancel SEED for Admissions 2020.

A revised Admission Procedure was formulated as under:

Students are requested to visit this page for regular updates regarding the updated admission procedure for the Symbiosis Institute of Design based on SEED 2021.

Under any circumstances, 2 merit lists are prepared and admissions are given based on that. The candidates selected in the 1^st Merit List have to deposit the fees and complete the admission procedure.

After the 1^st merit list, the admission procedure is completed and seats are still vacant then the candidates selected in the 2^nd merit list are called for admissions and those selected finally have to deposit the fees and complete the admission procedure.

After the Admission Procedure to both the participating colleges of SEED 2021 is completed the classes for the first year of the B. Des. Or Bachelor of Design course will start at the respective colleges as per their schedule.
