About

CSEET 2021: CSEET 2021 or CS Executive Entrance Test or Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test 2021 is conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India or ICSI for the enrolment of candidates in the Executive Programme of the Company Secretary or CS course.

 

The CSEET is conducted on quarterly basis- four times a year.

The Score of CSEET is valid for one year for the candidates to register for the CS Executive Programme.

Candidates shall be declared ‘PASS’ in CSEET on securing 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate.

 

The CSEET January 2021 session will be conducted on Saturday, the 9th January, 2021.

 

Earlier to complete the Company Secretary course a student had to clear three programmes namely:

Foundation Programme

Executive Programme and

Professional Programme

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has now eliminated the Foundation Programme and has introduced a Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test or CSEET to directly enter into the executive programme.

This test is both for students who want to enter the CS Executive programme after 10+2 or after graduation.

 

Here we are only covering the path of the Class 10+2 or its equivalent appearing or pass student.

CSEET Application Form January 2021: The CSEET Application Form 2021 for January Test or CS Executive Entrance Test Application Form January 2021 is available on the official website of the ICSI or www.icsi.edu.

 

The Online Registration for the CSEET January 2021 Session is available from 28th October, 2020 and will be available till 15th December, 2020.

Step 1: In order to Register for “CSEET”, type www.icsi.edu in any recommended browser (IE 9, Mozilla 38.0 & above, Chrome 39.0), then click on “Online Services”

Step 9: Transaction Id Generation. Note transaction Id for future reference. On successful payment, candidate will be registered in CSEET and same will be intimated through email/SMS on registered email id/mobile number. Candidate can appear for the CSEET as per the schedule sent through email/SMS.

All the files to be uploaded while registering for CSEET should be present in one of the formats viz. jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp, pdf. The maximum allowed file size is 2 MB.

Before filling the CSEET Application Form 2021 for the January 2021 session students are requested to go through the CSEET Eligibility Criteria 2021 and various other details of the examination.

Eligibility

CSEET Eligibility Criteria 2021: The CSEET Eligibility Criteria 2021 for January 2021 Session is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfil a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands cancelled or void.

 

The CSEET Eligibility Criteria 2021 in detail are as follows: 

Age Limit:

  • Candidate must be less than 26 years.

Subject Requirements: Students from any subject stream are eligible to apply for CSEET except Fine Arts.

Minimum Marks Requirement:

  • No minimum marks required. Student must have passed class 12th or equivalent from any recognized board.

Qualification:

  • The candidate must have passed or appeared in class 12th examination is eligible to apply for CSEET 2021.
  • Any candidate who is graduated/post graduated must have required to pass the CSEET 2021 to become eligible for registration to Executive Programme.

Exemptions:

  • Candidates who have passed the CS Foundation Programme are exempted from CSEET without any payment of exemption fee.
  • Candidates who have passed the Final Examination of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and/or The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) are exempted from CSEET and shall pay `5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand Only) towards exemption fee at the time of Registration to CS Executive Programme.

Viva Voce: The Presentation and Communication Skills (Viva Voce) is conducted of 15 minutes duration for 30 marks either simultaneously with or after the Computer Based Test (CBT). CSEET Final Score:  The Final Score of the candidates is calculated by adding the marks secured by the Candidates in the Computer Based Test (CBT) and the Viva Voce. The Total score is thus calculated out of a total of 200 marks (170 Marks CBT + 30 Marks Viva Voce).

CSEET Passing Criteria:  The Candidates shall be declared “Pass” in CSEET on securing 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate.

Participating Colleges

CSEET Participating Colleges 2021:  

Although one does not necessarily need to join a particular college/university to study the Company Secretary Course and it can be done through a remote study from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India ICSI and the candidate may join any normal undergraduate and postgraduate courses along with it.

But if a student wants to pursue CS as a full-time course, a full-time non-residential Integrated Company Secretary Course (Executive Programme) is offered by CCGRT or Centre of Corporate Governance, Research & Training of ICSI or Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

This is a three years full-time non-residential integrated course. The fee charged for the course is INR 4,00,000 only, i.e. INR 2,00,000 at Executive and INR 2,00,000 at Professional Level. In the last year, i.e. the third year, no fee is charged, rather students receive a stipend from companies/organizations where they undergo 12 Months Management / Practical Training.

Admissions to the above full-time integrated course are given on the following criteria:

Academics: Based on the academic achievements of the candidates including the marks obtained in CSEET/Foundation/Final Pass of CA/CWA/Graduation, etc.

CSEET Admit Card 2021 for January Session:  The CSEET Admit Card 2021 for January Session will be available online on the ICSI Website: www.icsi.edu . The candidates can download the admit card by logging into the CSEET website through their Unique ID or registration number and Date of Birth.

Please Note: No Admit Cards will be sent via Print or post to anyone.

The Candidates can Download the CSEET Admit Card 2021 for the January Session by following these steps:

  • Visit the ICSI Official Website: www.icsi.edu .
  • Login via Unique Id or Registration Number and Date of Birth in the CSEET link.
  • Click on the Admit Card to View and Download the same.
  • Download the Admit Card and take a print out of it to take the same on the CSEET 2021 January Session exam centre.

CSEET Result 2021 for January Session: The CSEET Result 2021 for the January Session will be declared tentatively in the 4th week of January 2021. The Result will be declared online on the official website of Institute of Company Secretaries of India or ICSI: www.icsi.edu.

The ICSI or Institute of Company Secretaries of India releases the CSEET Result online for every candidate to check their individual score and qualification status.

The ICSI in the CSEET Result 2021 for January session will also release the merit list of top 25 candidates who have secured the highest marks in CSEET 2021 January Session.

All the candidates who are declared “Pass” or whose qualification status in the CSEET Result 2021 for January Session will be “Pass” will be eligible for the registration in the CS Executive Programme in the ICSI.

Admission Counselling

Registration to the CS Executive Programme after CSEET 2021 January session:  Only the candidates who are declared “Pass” in the CSEET 2021 January session can successfully register for the CS Executive Programme on the Indian of Company Secretaries of India or ICSI.

The Candidates who “Pass” the CSEET can do the registration to the CS Executive Programme online on the ICSI Website: www.icsi.edu by entering their CSEET Unique ID or Registration Number and Date of Birth.

The Cut-off date for the registration of Executive Programme after CSEET 2021 January Session is 31st January 2021(for appearing in a single module of Executive Program in June session in the same year).

Although the CSEET score is valid for 1 year, so if the candidates wish to register later in the year, they can do the same for appearing in either both modules/single module of Executive Programme in the December session in the same year or also if they wish to appear for appearing in either both modules/single module of Executive Programme in the June session of the next year.

Once the candidates after successfully passing the CSEET and class 12th or its equivalent register for the Executive Programme of the Company Secretary course, their Executive Programme starts through ICSI or Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
