COMEDK UGET 2021:  The COMEDK UGET 2021 or COMEDK Undergraduate Entrance Test or the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Undergraduate Entrance Test 2021 will be conducted by COMEDK for admissions into the  Engineering programs which offer around 20000 seats in the various Private Engineering Colleges of Karnataka.

The COMEDK UGET 2021 will be a 3 hours duration Computer Based Test having a total of 180 Questions divided into three sections: Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics respectively having 60 Questions each.

The COMEDK UGET 2021 will be conducted tentatively in the last week of April 2021 and the Application For the same is expected to arrive online from the 2nd or 3rd week of January 2021.

COMEDK UGET Application Form 2021:  The COMEDK UGET Application Form 2021 will be available tentatively from the 2nd or 3rd week of January, 2021 and is expected to be available till the last week of March, 2021.

The COMEDK UGET Application Form 2021 will be available only in the online mode on the COMEK Official Website: https://www.comedk.org/

The Application Fee for COMEDK UGET 2021 will be INR 1600.

The COMEDK UGET Application Form 2021 can be filled online by completing the below steps:

  • Fill in candidate details in the registration form
  • Generate and validate OTP for the registered mobile number
  • Click on register and complete the candidate registration
  • Receive SMS & E-mail with User ID/App no and Password
  • Logout and Login Again using User ID & Password
  • Click on 'Go to application' Select the exam that you are applying for Enter your personal details
  • Fill in category details
  • Fill in academic details and upload documents in prescribed format and size as mentioned in the information brochure
  • Fill in examination city preferences and select payment details Verify all details on the "Preview" Page.
  • Click on "Submit " and complete payment Check successful application status by logging in again.
  • Take print out of the application (for your reference only)

Eligibility

COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria 2021: The COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria 2021 is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfill a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands cancelled or void.

 

The COMEDK UGET Eligibility Criteria 2021 in detail are as follows: 

Qualification:

Candidate must have passed class 12th or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as a compulsory subject.

Minimum Marks Requirement:

Candidate need to secure at least 45% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually.

For SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State, mark relaxation is 5%.

Subject Combination:

Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the optional subjects

 

Reservation:

Candidates are classified as General Merit and Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes (On Karnataka Basis) or those belonging to Tulu /Christian minority communities and those belonging to Hyderabad-Karnataka (HK) Region. There is reservation for admissions to educational institutions for candidates who are ‘local persons’ for HK region which is available separately on the website. Though there is no reservation for any other categories permissible as of date, the classification is being followed for eligibility norms only.

  • Declaration once made in the application with regard to the category status like GM / SC / ST / OBC / Minority and H-K Region will not be changed subsequently under any circumstances. The candidates are cautioned to fill in the application form with great care about the category status.
  • The candidates who have claimed category such as (SC/ST/OBC) of Karnataka should produce a valid certificate at the time of Counseling. If the certificates are not produced or not valid and if the candidates fall within 40% -45% criteria for lower eligibility, his / her rank will become invalid and he/ she will not be allowed to participate in the counseling process.
  • The candidates who have claimed Minority / Hyderabad- Karnataka status should produce a valid certificate at the time of first appearance in the Counseling. If the certificates are not produced or not valid then such of these candidates will not be entitled to select a seat under the reservation claimed.
  • Certificates for SC/ST/OBC/Minority and H-K Region, if applicable, should have been procured before the submission of Online Application.
  • If the category certificate is different and exclusive, such of the candidates shall submit not only the category certificate but also the caste and Income certificate issued by the competent authority in original at the time of counseling.

Criteria to be treated as Karnataka Candidate:

If the candidate does not fall into either of the below two categories, the category Non-Karnataka shall be selected.

  • Being a citizen of India, if you belong to Karnataka by birth/domicile and have schooling for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th Standard as on 1st July of the year in which the Entrance Test is held and must have passed either SSLC / 10th Standard or 2nd PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent qualifying examination from Karnataka State. In the case of the candidate who had taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, the years of academic study is counted as one year only.

OR

  • Indian Citizens of Karnataka origin, who have studied and passed both 1st and 2nd year PUC or 11th and 12th standard examination within the State of Karnataka from an Educational Institution run or recognized by the State Government and either of the parents should have studied in an educational institution of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN years. Such candidates have to produce certificates issued by the competent authority to show that he /she or his/her parent (Father / Mother) has been a resident of Karnataka State as per Annexure I and study certificate/s against their claim at the time of counseling.

Note: In the event of a tie in the test score the principle of least negative responses (Number of wrong answers) will be adopted. In addition, if required, other methods may be adopted to break ties.

 

 

Important Instruction:

In case the computer/mouse allotted to any candidate malfunctions anytime during the test, he/she will be immediately allotted another computer system (buffer system). There will be enough buffer systems available in the examination center to take care of such problems and the time lost due to the change of system will be duly taken care as each and every second will be recorded by the server and the same will be adjusted in such a way that the candidate gets the full allotted time to answer the questions in each subject. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to bring this to the notice of the room invigilator. The performance of the candidate until the time of any disruption will automatically be transferred to the new terminal allotted thereby neither the performance nor any time will be lost by any candidate.

  • Question Palette displayed on the right side of screen will show the status of each question
  • You can easily navigate to any question by clicking on the question number in the Question Palette
  • You can mark a question for review and then come back to it for saving the correct option
  • You can view the answering status for a Section by placing the mouse over the name of the Section.
  • You can view all the questions by clicking on the Question Paper button.
  • You can shuffle between different sections and change the optional Sections any number of times in case of all subjects.

Students must go through the Participating Colleges and their seat distribution before filling up their choices for admissions in the counselling procedure. The candidate has a clear idea about the chances of getting admissions through this entrance examination after reading about the participating colleges in detail.

The Participating Colleges in any Entrance Exam also reflect the importance of that examination in a great manner as more important the participating colleges in an examination the more important that entrance examination becomes.

So, students must go through the Participating Colleges while applying for any entrance examination and do a thorough research about the quality of those participating colleges in the entrance examination.

 

COMEDK UGET Admit Card 2021:  The COMEDK UGET Admit Card 2021 or COMEDK UGET Online Test Admission Ticket 2021 will be available for download tentatively in the 3rd or 4th week of May, 2021 on the official website of COMEDK UGET: www.comedk.org .

Download the COMEDK UGET Admit Card 2021 by following below mentioned steps:

  • Visit the above-mentioned official website.
  • Click on the Online test admission ticket link.
  • Enter the User ID and Password
  • Admit Card will be displayed on the screen and check all the details.
  • Download and Print the COMEDK UGET Admit Card 2021.

 

The Admit Card is an important document and must be carefully kept by the candidates as it is necessary to produce at the Exam centre while appearing for the Entrance Examination and without the same the Candidate is not allowed to enter the exam hall to appear for the entrance examination.

 

The Admit Card usually contains the details of the Exam Centre, Personal Details of the Candidate like Name and Date of Birth and other important information including the Instructions.

Details Mentioned on Online Test Admission Ticket:

  • Test Admission Ticket number (TAT number)
  • Candidate’s Name (as mentioned in the application form).
  • Candidate’s address and contact details (as mentioned in the application form).
  • Candidate’s photo (as given in the application form).
  • Test center details.
  • Test Timings
  • ID Proof Details
  • Provision for Sticking Passport size photograph (box)
  • General Instructions on TAT

Important Instruction:

  • Candidates appearing for the Test should download & obtain printout of the Online Test Admission Ticket (Online TAT). No Test Admission Ticket (TAT) will be dispatched either by email or post or courier or in person to the candidates under any circumstances
  • Candidates have to ensure that the invigilator of their respective center signs the test admission ticket.
  • The candidates must not mutilate or laminate the Test Admission Ticket or change any entry made therein after it has been authenticated & received by them. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.
  • Report 120 minutes before the commencement of the test.
  • The Examination Hall will be opened 60 minutes before the commencement of the test.
  • Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately. If the candidates do not report in time, they are likely to miss some of the general instructions.
  • The candidate must show, on demand, the Online TAT and the Unique Photo Id Proof in original that was mentioned in the Application. A candidate who does not possess the Online TAT downloaded and Unique Photo ID in original shall not be admitted to the Examination Hall under any circumstances.
  • During the examination time, the invigilator will check the Online TAT and the Unique Photo Id Proof in original of the candidates to satisfy himself / herself about the identity of each candidate.
  • In the Examination Hall the candidate must find and occupy his/ her specific place checking for the TAT number. If a candidate is found taking the test from a place which is not assigned to him/her, his/her candidature shall be cancelled.
  • COMEDK is not responsible for any delay by any means of transportation to the city and reaching the test center beyond the given time and also the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall and take the test in the event of delay. It is advisable to reach the Test Location a day prior to the examination, if the candidates are not from the same Test location.
  • Candidates are advised in their own interest not to carry any of the personal computational devices, Bluetooth devices, cell phones, any electronic gadgets etc.; to the venue of the examination as arrangement for safe keeping of the same cannot be provided.
  • Candidates must not carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers, any electronic gadgets except the Online Test Admission Ticket, 2 Recent passport size photograph, Unique original photo ID as mentioned in Application Form /TAT.
  • For those who are unable to appear on the scheduled date of the examination for any reason, re-examination SHALL NOT BE held by COMEDK under any circumstances.
  • It is mandatory for the candidate to bring his/her 2 recent (not older than three months) passport size color photograph (the same which was uploaded to the application) during the conduct of COMEDK UGET-2020. At the back of the photograph, candidate must mention his/her name, and TAT number.
  • Kindly note that after the invigilator has verified the Online TAT, the candidates must sign on their Online TAT in the presence of the invigilator; also ensure that the invigilator signs on the Online TAT.
  • Biometric recording will be done before and during the test session (at the discretion of COMEDK) and the candidates are required to cooperate.

 

COMEDK UGET Result 2021: The COMEDK UGET Result 2021 will be published online on the COMEDK UGET website: www.comedk.org .

Download the COMEDK UGET Result 2021 by following the below-mentioned steps:

  • Go to the official website i.e. https://www.comedk.org/
  • Click on the result link.
  • Enter the ID and Password
  • The result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and Print the COMEDK UGET Result 2021 for further references.

Merit List:

After the declaration of the Result, merit will be prepared on the basis of performance in the entrance test.        

Tie-Breaking Resolution:

If a tie occurs in the test score:

  • The principle of least negative responses (number of wrong answers) in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry
  • Aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics in the Entrance Test.
  • Marks in Mathematics in the Entrance Test.
  • Age of the Candidate, the elder candidate is ranked higher than the younger candidate.

Rank Card:

  • Candidate can check their Rank Card by logging into his/her account and download it for further references.
  • No Rank Card will be dispatched either by email/post /courier / in person to the candidates under any circumstances
  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the counseling venue without the print out of the Online Rank Card which is one of the mandatory documents

Admission Counselling

COMEDK UGET Counselling Procedure 2021: The COMEDK UGET Counselling Procedure 2021 will begin after the COMEDK UGET 2021 Result is declared.

 

The Counselling will be done online and only candidates who have a valid COMEDK UGET 2021 Rank Card are eligible to Register for the Counselling. The online Counselling will be of a total of 3 Rounds and the candidates will have to choose one of the given options after seat allotment in each Round.

How to register for Online Counselling?

  • Login to COMEDK Application Form on www.comedk.org
  • Click on “Counselling Registration” Tab
  • Make Payment of Rs 5000/- as part of tuition fee using credit card/debit card/net banking
  • Click on “Document Upload” tab
  • Upload all mandatory documents for verification. (Ensure uploading legible scanned copies of documents. Do not take photo of the documents in mobile for uploading)
  • Only candidate’s whose document verification is completed will be eligible for further process.

How to check whether document is verified?

  • The document verification status will be updated in your application form.
  • You are requested to login to your application frequently to check for document verification status.
  • In case incorrect/illegible documents are uploaded, your counselling registration and verification status may show as ‘Rejected’.
  • Candidates whose document verification status is incomplete/rejected will not be able to participate in further process.
  • In case of incorrect declaration in application form or documents, your candidature may be rejected at any stage of counselling/admission process.
  • Only candidate’s whose document verification is completed will be eligible for further process.

How Many Rounds of Counselling are there?

  • There will be 3 Rounds of Counselling
  • Candidates who register for counseling and complete document verification will only be eligible to participate in counseling.
  • Eligibility to participate in Round 2 and 3 will depend on choice exercised or decision made on allotment during Round 1 and 2 respectively.
  • There will be an exclusive round of counseling for candidates passed out in the supplementary exam conducted by the PU Board / 10+2 for the leftover seats after all the rounds of regular counseling is completed.

After the COMEDK UGET Counselling Procedure 2021 is completed and the admissions have completed the classes of the first year of all the colleges for various courses will begin as per their respective schedule.
