The LSAT India 2024 or Law School Admission Test India will be conducted online in two sessions this time in January and May respectively on 20 -21 January and 16th to 19th May 2024. The Registration for the LSAT India has started from 14th August 2023  for the January and May session.

The LSAT India is an admission test for some private Indian law colleges. It is modelled on the world-renowned LSAT, used by law schools in North America and Australia

It is conducted once every year and the score validity for this examination holds till the admissions in the same academic year.

The Score of this examination is used by many Private Law Institutes and Universities including the Jindal Global Law School of the O.P Jindal Global University, Sonepat-Haryana.

Accordingly, LSAC has decided to administer the LSAT India 2023 through an online platform, as they did in 2020 and 2021. Every candidate’s test will be proctored remotely using AI-assisted technology and will include recording the candidate's entire examination via the computer’s web camera. Candidates registered for LSAT India will be able to test from the comfort of their homes without paying anything additional or worrying about travelling to a test centre. LSAC will help Candidates make arrangements to acquire the necessary equipment if they do not have or are unable to arrange to get the equipment on their own.

Towards the end of the registration period, candidates will be asked to provide preference of testing slot from the date and time slots available for testing. Candidates will be allotted one of their preferred slots and will receive information regarding the date and slot on which they will be required to appear for the test—their ‘Test Appointment’.

  • STEP 1:  Visit LSAT India Official website: https://discoverlaw.excelindia.com/lsat-india/ .
  • STEP 2: Click on “Sign Up”
  • STEP 3:  Complete your Registration- After Clicking on Sign Up complete your registration by entering details like Name, Contact Number, Email Id, Password, the course that you want to apply for, etc.
  • STEP 4: Verify your Email and Fill your Application:  Kindly verify your email id that was provided in Sign Up. Once the Email is verified kindly Login to your Application Form by using the Registered Email ID and Password and completely fill the application form by uploading the relevant documents and entering all the remaining details.
  • STEP 5:  Submit the Application Form and Complete the Payment Process- This is the final step, once you have successfully filled the LSAT India 2023 Application Form kindly check all the details filled once and then submit the Application Form. Once you submit the Application Form kindly complete the Online Payment process and once that is done your Application is finally submitted. LSAT India Marking Criteria:

  • No negative marking for the wrong answer.

Important Points:

  • There is a time limit per section, Candidate needs to maintain the speed in order to attempt all the questions.
  • If a candidate completes all the questions of a section and later wants to attempt the questions of that section it cannot be done after moving to the next section.
  • The exam conducting body has the authority to change some or most parts of the LSAT India  exam pattern; so, the candidate needs to keep these changes in mind when preparing for LSAT India.

The candidate has a clear idea about the chances of getting admissions through this entrance examination after reading about the participating colleges in detail.

In the LSAT India Result LSAC declares the LSAT India Score individually for each candidate. Candidates will receive a scaled score between 420 and 480, a score band, as well as a percentile rank.

LSAT India Score :

Candidates will receive email notification when their Score Card is available for download from the registration site.

LSAT India Scores are generally available a few weeks after the test date. LSAT India Scores are released as soon as they are ready. No announcement of a score release date should be taken to be a guarantee that scores will be released that day.

Please Note:

Any failure to follow invigilator instructions, violation of the terms and conditions, or cheating is grounds for cancellation of scores. Scores may be cancelled if, during post-test analysis, there is evidence of cheating. Scores may be cancelled without an offer of a retest.

LSAT India Score Validity

Starting in 2019, an LSAT—India score became valid for 5 years. However, you should check with any law college you are considering about whether they will accept a score received during a prior year.

LSAT India Counselling Procedure :  There is no centralized LSAT India Counselling Procedure or admission process for the LSAT India associated Law Colleges.

After the LSAT India Result is declared the candidates can apply to the LSAT India Associated Law Colleges individually with their respective LSAT India Scores.

LSAT India plays no part in the admissions into the 5 years Integrated LLB admissions at any of its associated Law College. Its role ends at the declaration of LSAT India Scores.
