CUET 2022 : The CUET 2022 or Common University Entrance Test will be conducted by NTA for admissions into the various undergraduates, post graduates and research programmes offered at the 18 Participating Universities including 45 Central Universities.

Here we are covering only the Undergraduate Courses after 12th for which admissions are done through CUET 

The CUET 2022 will be a Two Parts Test namely Part A and Part B respectively having 75 and 25 Questions respectively. Both the papers will be of 2 hours duration.

CUET Application Form 2022:  The CUET Application Form 2022 will be available from 2nd  April 2022 on the CUET Official Website 

National Testing Agency has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the Undergraduate entrance tests for all the Central Universities (CUs) for the academic session 2022-2023. CUET will provide a single window opportunity to students to seek admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) across the country.

The CUET (UG) - 2022 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode. The aspirants who desire to appear for the test, may refer to the Information Bulletin for admission to Undergraduate programmes of the desired Central Universities (CUs) for admission into the Undergraduate Programmes.

The details of the programmes offered by Central Universities (CUs) is being made available on their respective websites.

Online Application Forms for Undergraduate Programmes  open from 02.04.2022, the link for the same will be made available on the official website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in . Candidates who wish to appear for CUET (UG) – 2022 are advised to go through the required eligibility of the desired University/ Universities for selecting the options from UG Programmes being offered. The Application will be open from 02.04.2022 to 30.04.2022.

Examination Structure for CUET (UG) - 2022:

CUET (UG) – 2022 will consist of the following 4 Sections:

  • Section IA – 13 Languages
  • Section IB – 19 Languages
  • Section II – 27 Domain specific Subjects
  • Section III – General Test

Choosing options from each Section is not mandatory. Choices should match the requirements of the desired University.

  • A Candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together. (One of the languages chosen needs to be in lieu of Domain specific subjects)

II and General Test under Section III, the Candidate must refer to the requirements of his/her intended University.

The Application Fee for CUET 2022 will be as follows:

  • INR 800 For General, OBC and EWS Applicants
  • INR 350 for SC/ST Candidates
  • No Fee for PWD Candidate
  1. An applicant can apply for payment through net-banking/debit/credit card/UPI.
  2. GST and other taxes as applicable by Govt. of India/ Bank.
  3. An applicant can apply for three programmes from three Participating Universities (PUs) by paying application fee as mentioned above.
  4. An applicant can further apply up to 03 additional PU’s (03 programmes each) by availing Add-on facility by paying the additional fee as Rs. 800/- (Gen/OBC/EWS applicants) or Rs. 350/- (SC/ST applicants) for UI & PG Programmes and Rs. 1000/- (Gen/OBC/EWS applicants) or Rs. 450/- (SC/ST applicants) for RP Programmes. Online Application: On successful online application submission with payment of fees through Net-banking /Debit Card /Credit Card/UPI an automated e-mail and SMS will be sent to the e-mail ID & mobile number you have given in the application form.

Before filling the CUET Application Form 2022 the candidates must go through the CUET Information Brochure to check important details like eligibility, exam pattern, courses, reservation and more.

CUET Eligibility Criteria 2022: The CUET Eligibility Criteria 2022 is necessary for students to read before doing registration for the examination.

The Eligibility Criteria is important for any examination because even if a candidate does not fulfill a single criterion of the eligibility criteria declared for the examination then the candidate is not allowed to appear for the examination or even after appearing for the examination and clearing the same the admission through the examination stands cancelled or void.

For appearing in the CUET (UG) - 2022, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12th /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2022 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (UG) - 2022 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University (ies) in which they are desirous of taking admission.

1. For admission in Universities through CUET (UG) - 2022 , the existing policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences etc. of the respective University shall be applicable.

2. As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs.

3. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the eligibility criteria laid down by the University they are applying to.

4. Mere appearance in the Entrance Test or securing pass marks at the test does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission to the Programme unless he/she fulfils the Programme wise eligibility conditions of the University they are applying to.

RESERVATIONS

4.1. Indian nationals belonging to certain categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government of India. However, in the case of the Central Universities, the reservation policy of the respective University shall be applicable.

4.1.1. For Candidates claiming to the GEN-EWS category

GEN-EWS certificate (Annexure-IA) needs to be uploaded in the Online Application Form of CUET (UG) - 2022 which should have been issued on or after 01 January 2022 in consonance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India.

If any GEN-EWS candidate fails to submit the GEN-EWS certificate (issued on or after 01 January 2022) at the time of online registration, the candidate has to upload a declaration [Declaration in Lieu of Gen-EWS Certificate at Annexure-IB] to that effect  (Reference: No.F.No.20013/01/2018-BC-II).

4.1.2. For Candidates claiming to the OBC-NCL category

OBC-NCL certificate (Annexure-IIA) needs to be uploaded in the Online Application Form of CUET (UG) - 2022 which should have been issued on or after 01 January 2022, in consonance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India.

If any OBC-NCL candidate fails to upload the OBC- NCL certificate (issued on or after 01 January 2022) at the time of online registration, the candidate has to upload a declaration [Declaration in Lieu of OBC-NCL Certificate as per Annexure-IIB] to that effect. Visit http://www.ncbc.nic.in  for the latest guidelines and updates on the Central List of State-wise OBCs.

 4.1.3. For Candidates claiming to the SC or ST category

Caste (for SC) or tribe (for ST) certificate (Annexure-III) needs to be uploaded in the Online Application Form of CUET UG - 2022, as per the latest guidelines of the Government of India.

 4.1.4. For Candidates claiming to the PwBD category

• Physical Disability certificate (Unique Disability Identification (UDID) Certificate or Annexure-IV (Form-PwBD(II))/ Annexure-V (Form-PwBD(III))/ Annexure-VI (Form-PwBD(IV)), whichever is applicable, issued by the notified medical authority needs to be uploaded in the Online Application Form of CUET (UG) -2022 .

• Dyslexic candidates need to submit Annexure-VII (Form-DYSLEXIC-1) and Annexure-VIII (Form-DYSLEXIC 2) instead of Annexure-IV (Form-PwBD(II))/Annexure-V (Form-PwBD(III))/Annexure-VI (Form-PwBD(IV)). The certificate must mention ‘SEVERE’ under the Dyslexia category to enable the candidate to get the benefit of the PwBD category.

• In this case, both Annexure-VII (Form-DYSLEXIC-1) and Annexure-VIII (Form-DYSLEXIC-2) must be merged in a single pdf file to upload in the Online Application Form of CUET (UG) - 2022 .In the case of the Institutes run/aided/recognized by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.

4.2. Provisions relating to Persons with Disability (PwBD):

As per Section 2(t) of the RPwBD Act, “Persons with Disability (PwBD)” means a person with long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairment which, in interaction with barriers, hinders his full and effective participation in society equally with others.

According to Section 2(r) of the RPwBD Act, 2016, “persons with benchmark disabilities”means a person with not less than forty percent (40%) of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority.

4.3. Facilities for PwBD candidates to appear in the exam

As per the guidelines issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment issued from time to time on the subject: “Written Examination for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities”, A candidate with one of the benchmark disabilities [as defined in Section 2(r) of RPwBD Act, 2016], holding a Disability Certificate in the format prescribed in Annexure-IV (Form-PwBD(II))/Annexure-V (Form-PwBD(III))/Annexure-VI (Form-PwBD(IV)) or Annexure-VII (Form-DYSLEXIC-1) and Annexure-VIII (Form-DYSLEXIC 2), is entitled to the following facilities:

a. The facility of Scribe, in case he/she has a physical limitation and a scribe is essential to write the examination on his/her behalf, being so certified in the aforesaid format by a CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.

b. Compensatory time for PwBD Candidates, who are eligible for Scribe (whether such candidate uses the facility of Scribe or not) of 15 miutes for 45 minutes examination and 20 minutes for one-hour examination, as per Government Guidelines.

4.4. Services of a Scribe

As per the office memorandum of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (Reference: F.No. 34-02/2015-DD-III dated August 29, 2018), the PwBD candidates who are visually impaired OR dyslexic (severe) OR have a disability in the upper limbs OR have lost fingers/hands thereby preventing them from properly operating the Computer Based Test platform may avail the services of a scribe (amanuensis).

CUET Exam Pattern 2022: The CUET Exam Pattern 2022 is important to read for every student who wishes to appear for it.

The CUET Exam Pattern 2022 gives a clear idea to the student about the type of questions, exam duration exam language and various other important details about the examination.

The CUET Exam Pattern 2022 also helps in the planning of preparation for the examination and successfully clearing the same.

CUET (UG) - 2022 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The Tests (other than “Language” Test) are offered in 13 languages i.e. Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

A candidate is required to opt for one of the specified languages as the medium of the paper, as per desired University’s eligibility criteria, while applying. The question paper in respect of the Domain Specific Subjects and the General Test, will be bi-lingual, i.e., it will be in the medium (one of the 13 languages) opted by the candidate and in English.

In case of any discrepancy in translation, English version shall prevail except “Language” Tests (Section 1A & 1B). Medium is not the same as the “Language” opted as a component of the test. “Language” test is for assessing the proficiency/skills of the candidate in the Language opted by him/her and the question paper in respect of the same will be available to the candidate in the medium opted by him/her only. The Question Paper of the “Language” Test will not be bi-lingual. Questions in the “Language” Test, are not translation of the questions in English. They are unique/ specific to the language opted and have to be answered accordingly.

Pattern of Question Paper: Objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Tests Design:

There are three Sections in the design of the test:

  •  Section IA - 13 Languages (As a medium and “Language”)
  • Section IB - 20 Languages
  • Section II - 27 Domain Specific Subjects
  • Section III - General Test

A candidate has the option to choose any Language/Domain specific Subjects/ General Test or a combination. there of as may be required for admission to specified course/s of the desired University/ies while applying. It is not mandatory to choose any one or more of the Tests/Subjects stated above. The choice of Tests/Subjests would depend on the course/s opted by the candidate and the University/ies where admission is sought.

Note:

  1. A Candidate can take maximum of 09 Tests in following manner :
  • Maximum of 02 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together, maximum of 06 Domain Subjects from Section II and General Test from Section III.

OR

  • Maximum of 03 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together, maximum of 05 Domain Subjects from Section II and General Test from Section III.

(b) Considering that candidates from different States/Boards would be applying for CUET (UG)- 2022, NTA has decided to provide choice in all Sections of question papers, however, the total number of questions to be attempted will remain the same.

(c) For choosing Languages, domain specific Subjects and General Test the Candidate MUST refer to requirements of his/her intended University as choices should match the requirements of the University.

Students must go through the Participating Colleges and their seat distribution before filling up their choices for admissions in the counselling procedure. The candidate has a clear idea about the chances of getting admissions through this entrance examination after reading about the participating colleges in detail.

The Participating Colleges in any Entrance Exam also reflect the importance of that examination in a great manner as more important the participating colleges in an examination the more important that entrance examination becomes.

So, students must go through the Participating Colleges while applying for any entrance examination and do thorough research about the quality of those participating colleges in the entrance examination.

CUET Admit Card 2022:  The CUET Admit Card 2022 or CUET Hall Ticket 2022 will be available for download in the 2nd or 3rd week of May 2022 on the official website of CUET: www.CUETexam.in .

Download the CUET Admit Card 2022 by following below-mentioned steps:

  • Go to the official website i.e., www.CUETexam.in .
  • Click the CUET Exam.
  • Click on the Download Admit Card link.
  • Enter the Application ID and Date of Birth
  • Click on Login
  • Admit Card will be displayed on the screen and check all the details.
  • Download and Print the CUET Admit Card 2022.

The Admit Card is an important document and must be carefully kept by the candidates as it is necessary to produce at the Exam centre while appearing for the Entrance Examination and without the same, the Candidate is not allowed to enter the exam hall to appear for the entrance examination.

The Admit Card usually contains the details of the Exam Centre, Personal Details of the Candidate like Name and Date of Birth and other important information including the Instructions.

CUET Result 2022: The CUET Result 2022 will be published online on the CUET website: www.CUETexam.in .

Check the CUET Result 2022 by following the below-mentioned steps:

  • Visit the above-mentioned official website.
  • Click on CUET View Score Card.
  • Select the program applied then enter the Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  • The result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and Print the CUET Result 2022 for further references.

After the declaration of Result, each university release the separate merit list for counselling and merit will be prepared on the score of the entrance test.

Cut off:

Each university will release the cut off list on their website.

CUET Counselling Procedure 2022: Admissions are handled at the level of each of these Central Universities and State Universities for their respective programs. After the declaration of the CUET results, the respective Central Universities and State Universities will declare the counselling/admission schedule and merit list based on the weightage on CUET-2022 score and the other criteria of PU. Please see the website of the concerned university for details. There will be online admission counselling for some universities with additional fees.

There is no centralized CUET Counselling Procedure and the candidates will have to check the Participating Universities individually of their interest for the courses which they want to take admission through their CUET Score.

Once all the admissions into the various courses are over through CUET in the Participating Universities the classes for the 1st year of the new session will begin at each of the Participating Universities as per their respective schedule.
